Mrs. Yvonne Ferebee Mosley, age 88, was called from labor to eternal rest on Friday, September 13, 2024. A Celebration of Life and Legacy was held Saturday, September 21, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Wiggins officiating.
Yvonne was born August 11, 1936, in South Mills, NC, to the late Alfred and Thelma McCoy Ferebee. She attended public schools in Camden County, NC, and graduated from Elizabeth City State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Yvonne taught for a few years in the public school system of a small county outside of Charleston, SC. She was united in marriage to Alven Wade Mosley, and they shared 61 happy years of devotion to each other. Soon after, she joined her husband in Newark, NJ, and was employed with the Jersey City public school system for many years. Yvonne also taught in Neptune, NJ for two years. After retirement, she and her husband relocated to Swainsboro where they enjoyed many more happy years together. Mts. Mosley is preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters.
Mrs. Mosley’s memories will be cherished by her husband; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
