Family Connection was thrilled with the participation of the first week of their Scavenger Hunt for Books. There were 63 sleuths hot on the trail that led them to the Swainsboro Fire Department to receive their free book and participant punch card along with friendly greetings from the staff. Some even got a tour of the fire house. This was a great turn out for week #1 and we are hopeful that more families will join the fun.
Thanks to the Swainsboro Fire Department for being so willing to help and so supportive in our literacy work in Emanuel County. A special thanks to the Mill Creek Foundation that funded the Scavenger Hunt for Books again this year.
Families may join at any time during the 8-week Scavenger Hunt this summer. Look for the clues that are posted daily on the Emanuel County Family Connection or Franklin Memorial Library Facebook pages to find the secret location to receive a new book every Thursday.
