Vanessa White, age 55, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, August 31, at 12 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Elder D.G. Mosley officiating. Interment followed at Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Vanessa was born July 21, 1969, in Miami, Fl, to Betty Phillips White and the late Daniel White, Sr. Her school years included Earlington Heights, Allapattah Middle School, Miami Jackson Sr. High and American Sr. High. During Vanessa’s high school years, she was a great cheerleader and participated in various school fundraising activities. Van, as she was called, married David Staples and joined the military with him for a brief stint as she explored her career path. She discontinued her military service to be closer to home and settled into a career in customer service where she excelled capitalizing on her positive and friendly personality, infectious smile and laughter. Ms. White is preceded in death by her father; and brother, Daniel White, Jr.
Ms. White’s memories will be cherished by her mother; sisters, Rosa Colebrooke (Alfred), Michele Zamor (Garbens), Krystal Wilson and Towanda White; brothers, Lamarr White and Danny White; nieces, nephews aunts and uncles.
Mosley’s Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
