TCE Admin spends the day on the roof for Reading Challenge

On Friday, April 19, TCE’s principal, Ms. Jessica Collins, and assistant principal, Mrs. Christie Henry, spent the day on the roof. During Read Across America week, Ms. Jessica challenged the TCE students to read over 2.5 million words. They surpassed that goal and read over 4 million words in one week. Mrs. Christie joined her since they far exceeded the reading goal for that week.

TCE’s STEAM teacher, Mrs. Mandi Johnson, also allowed her students to deploy the STEAM drone to check on Ms. Jessica and Mrs. Christie throughout the day. The students loved looking up and seeing their administrators as they came outside for recess.
