Swainsboro High School Band of Gold visits UGA Redcoat Band

On Friday, November 1, members of the Swainsboro High School Band of Gold traveled to Vidalia High School for an unforgettable musical experience. They had the opportunity to witness a special performance by the University of Georgia’s Redcoat Band, who stopped in Vidalia while enroute to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Florida, home of the University of Florida Gators.

The event offered Band of Gold members a rare glimpse into the artistry, dedication, and precision of a collegiate marching band. For many, it was a chance to envision their own future in music at the next level.

This visit fueled excitement for music and strengthened the students’ connection to a broader musical community. The experience promises to leave a lasting impression on these young musicians.
