Quantavius Foster, an elected official of the Swainsboro City Council, has been sentenced to serve fifteen months incarceration in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute controlled substance. Foster appeared in United States District Court in Atlanta on October 15, 2024, where Senior Judge Amy Totenberg imposed the sentence in the criminal case. Foster was also ordered to be on supervised release for a term of one year with the possibility of a shorter term based on full compliance with supervised release requirements. In court documents, Foster was released on bond following sentencing and must begin his term of imprisonment no later than January 6, 2025. Mr. Foster began a four-year term on the Swainsboro City Council in January 2024.
