The Stillmore Christmas Parade was greeted with lots of smiling faces and great weather on Sunday, Dec 8. Marching bands, old cars, motorcycles, floats, police cars, and fire trucks came down main street – throwing greetings and candy as they came. It wasn’t just children who dived for candy – we saw some grandmas too!! Santa and Mrs. Claus brought up the rear of the parade and promised all sorts of Christmas morning surprises to the kids. President Trump even put in an appearance!!! Along with the parade, the crowd enjoyed the silent auction sponsored by numerous local businesses, food trucks, and vendors selling an array of items – jewelry, baked goods, homemade housewares, thrift store items, and food. The day ended with the lighting of the town Christmas tree with lights in memory to our deceased loved ones and in honor of the living loved ones.
