SSG Willie Edward Mosley, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, following a brief illness. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Armstrong officiating.
Willie was born January 13, 1941, in Swainsboro, to the late Charlie “CT” Thomas and Celia Mosley. He was educated in Emanuel County Schools and enlisted in the Army, serving several years, after graduation. Willie relocated to New Jersey where he met and married the late Mable Mosley. He was employed as a painter and worked with the painter’s union for several years. Willie was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He ensured that his family was happy and provided for. SSG Mosley is preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers; two sisters; and on sister-in-law.
SSF Mosley leaves to cherish his memories with his daughter, Terri Smith of Swainsboro; son, Alton (Antoinette) Mosley of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Yomenica Smith, Saboria Parker, both of Milledgeville, Javious Smith of Swainsboro and Ja’Saun Mosley of Pensacola, FL; two great-grandchildren; one sister; three brothers; very special friend, Hattie Parker of Swainsboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
