March 22
Officer was contacted about a residence on Gumlog Rd. being broken into and a PS5 being taken.
Officers were dispatched to the rear of First Assembly of God in reference to a male living in an abandoned house. Contact was made with complainant who stated offender is causing issues and asked what he could do about offender going on the church property stealing water without consent and pointed out the water hose being stretched across the property to the abandoned residence. Officer advised he could have offender criminally trespassed, and c/p stated he would like for offender to be issued a trespass notice. Officer made contact with offender and advised him he was trespassed from the property and had him sign the CTW and advised him to head back in the house. Offender then followed officer back onto the property and was arrested for failure to comply and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to East Pine St. in reference to an unwanted person. Offender was cussing and fussing with two occupants of the residence who wanted offender to leave. Offender appeared to need a mental health evaluation and was offered to be taken to EMC but refused. She was asked to stop fussing and trying to fight with the occupants and she continued to aggress the couple by getting louder, yelling curse words. Offender was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers responded to WalMart in reference to a person that previously stole items. Complainant stated offender has taken over $900 worth of items over multiple days. Offender was exiting the store when he was met by officer and c/p and given a criminal trespass notice.
Officer met with complainant in reference to needing a report to receive a refund of $12.48.
March 23
Officers were dispatched to McLeod and North Green St. in reference to a domestic. Both parties stated everything was fine and one offender was arrested for a probation warrant.
Officer initiated a traffic stop for dark tinted windows. Officer asked the driver for his license and proof of insurance and offender stated his license are suspended. Offender was asked to step out of the vehicle and asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and he stated no. Offender was placed in the rear of the patrol unit and officer went to conduct inventory and saw a clear bag with a white powder substance. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
March 24
Officers were dispatched to Lee St. for a fight. Complainant stated she was inside her home sleeping when offender busted through the front door and went into her bedroom accusing her of stealing one of her puppies. The arguing turned into a physical fight before offender fled just prior to officer’s arrival.
Officers were dispatched to Oak St. in reference to a welfare check due to the caller being concerned after overhearing an argument. Contact was made with a 13-year-old who stated they were not home but got them on the phone. Officer spoke with offender who stated victim was fine and he was asked to see victim so offender did a Facetime call and victim stated she was fine and appeared to be. Victim then told offender to stop the car and let her out, as he did and drove away. Officer went back into service and pulled up to SPD and was met by victim who stated she was fine but wanted to see him. Officer asked if he could help her and she stated yes and asked if he would take her home so he transported her back to her residence. Later in the day, the caller called back wanting officers to help victim because she is in an abusive relationship. Officer advised the caller of what the victim told him and that nothing was said about abuse or domestic violence. Officer returned to the scene and waited while victim removed her items and stated she just wanted to leave. Officer spoke with offender who stated he wanted victim to leave and was just there to allow their daughter to go with victim.

March 25
Officer observed a vehicle traveling 62 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer asked the driver for her license and she stated she did not have them and was scared they were not valid. Officer ran the license to find offender’s license are suspended and the registration was expired. Offender was advised she would have to go to jail and had a small child in the vehicle. Offender contacted the child’s father and he picked the child up. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer met with complainant at SPD who stated offender used his hands to beat her in the back and choke her and she’s eight weeks pregnant. Officers observed marks on her neck and back consistent with being hit. SPD Officers and ECSO Deputies went to speak with offender in reference to this domestic, along with serving multiple warrants from different agencies. Upon arrival on Lewis St., officers knocked on the door and spoke with residents that live there who stated offender was not there. Officers checked the residence and heard a loud noise coming from a back room and chased offender on foot through a wooded area behind the house, telling him to stop several times. Offender was apprehended and transported to EmCo Jail.
March 26
Officer observed a vehicle with no brake lights, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license and proof of insurance. Offender stated he did not have a valid license, which was verified through GCIC. Offender was asked to provide a breath sample and refused. His eyes were watery and blood shot and he had thick, slurred speech. Offender was arrested for DUI and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer ran the tag on a vehicle to find it had no valid insurance, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle was towed and offender stated he would walk home.
Officers were dispatched to Carver St. in reference to a stolen cellphone. Complainant stated he gave a female a ride and she borrowed his phone and when they arrived at the residence, she jumped out with his phone and ran in the house. C/p stated he knocked on the door and some guys answered and stated there was not a female there.
March 27
Officer was dispatched to Industrial Way where complainant stated he had a guy go onto the property after hours. C/p provided a trail cam photo of the male subject whom he identified as an employee of Wincore. Officer went to Wincore and HR called offender to officer’s location and he stated he knew what it was about and stated he walked onto the property to urinate. Offender was issued a CTW and advised not to return to the property for six months. Officer then went back to the location and advised c/p of offender’s reason for being on the property.
Officers were dispatched to West St. for a report of a male who was given a ride and stole a woman’s purse and phone. The call was determined to be a false report to have offender arrested on a probation warrant. Offender was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to S. Main St. in reference to a dispute. Complainant stated offender has been breaking his property and cussing at him all day. Offender stated c/p keeps yelling and cussing at him. Officers have responded to this location multiple times due to offender not wanting c/p living there. Both were transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Gumlog Rd. in an attempt to recover a firearm. Complainant stated her child’s father was at her residence with their kids and she wanted an officer to go get the firearm because he steals it. Officers made contact with the male subject who stated he did not have the gun so officers attempted to locate it. Contact was made with c/p and was asked where it would be and she stated if the child’s father didn’t have it, then she had no idea because it went missing on a prior date and she thought he would have it with him. C/p stated she has text messages where the male subject stated he would give the gun back to her that afternoon.
Officer was dispatched to Enmarket in reference to a highly intoxicate female. Officer spoke with an employee who provided a physical description of the female and she was traveling south on foot. Officer located the female who had in her possession a pint of liquor and a coke and observed her balance to be unsteady as she talked with officers. Officer had offender blow into his PBT and it showed positive for alcohol. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
