February 14
Officer ran the tag on a vehicle to find the registered owner had suspended license, at which time he made a traffic stop. Driver was cited and released.
Officer observed a vehicle speeding and ran the tag to find the vehicle had no insurance, at which time he made a traffic stop. Officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the driver’s person and she stated she drank earlier. Offender registered above the limit on the PBT and was being transported to EMC ER for a blood test. While enroute, offender became upset and stated for officer just to take her to jail. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer detected a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the driver’s person, recovering appx. 8 grams of marijuana. The vehicle was searched, and a scale and 30 grams of marijuana was found. One passenger was revealed to have an active arrest warrant, and one had 2 grams of marijuana on his person. All four individuals were transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Family Dollar in reference to a shoplifter. Complainant stated a female subject entered the store with $9.07 in stolen merchandise.
February 15
Officers were dispatched to William Rountree Rd. in reference to a dispute. Complainant stated she and offender’s girlfriend don’t’ get along and offender threw something at c/p’s car when she passed by them, so she stopped, and they got into an argument and offender threatened her by acting as if he had a gun in his waistband. Offender stated c/p stopped and began arguing with him and he didn’t throw anything at her car.
Officer met an oncoming vehicle with window tint darker than allowed, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer’s tint reader revealed the tint to be 7%. Officer then ran the vehicle and driver information to find the driver had suspended license. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.

Officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and driver stated smoked the night prior. Officer ran the vehicle information to find the vehicle did not have valid insurance. Vehicle was towed.
Officer responded to WalMart in reference to criminal trespass. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Kite Rd. in reference to a burglary. Complainants stated someone broke into The Blue Chip Club and stole $220 cash.
Officer met a vehicle with its bright lights and did not dim them and no visible tag lights, at which time he initiated a traffics top. Officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officer ran the driver’s license to find they are suspended indefinitely. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to Lambs Bridge Rd. in reference to a dispute. DFCS Rep. stated they were there to investigate a matter with the tenants and the female subject was upset because they were there.
Officers were dispatched to Lee St. in reference to a domestic. Complainant stated offender assaulted her and has done this several times before, behind closed doors. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was approached by complainant who stated offender took $492 from his residence.
Complainant stated he took his vehicle to a mechanic shop and was told after several months that the part would not work so he bought another part and was told he did not know where the vehicle was at.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated her boss would not give her her check.
Officer responded to Gumlog Rd. in reference to a dispute. Complainant/victim stated her neighbor has been throwing garbage into her trash can and has already notified the Housing Authority, but nothing has been done, and offender continues to do this after being asked to stop.
Officer was dispatched to Emanuel Self Storage in reference to complainant stating her storage unit was broken into. C/p stated her belongings were ransacked and several items were missing.
February 18
Officer responded to Kwik Shop in reference to a subject asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle at the gas pumps. Officer stated offender to possibly be under the influence and upon speaking with him, he stated he dropped someone off and was too drunk to drive, so he parked. Offender agreed to field sobriety and advised he had used cocaine prior to their arrival. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer spoke with complainant/victim who stated he received a phone call that his SS# was on four dark web surveillance reports and was advised to have a report made.
Complainant stated her package arrived and the item inside was removed.
Officer was dispatched to S. Racetrack St. in reference to a dispute. Victim stated their apartment sustained significant water damage and the landlord/offender will not have repairs done. Officer observed major damage to the apartment.
Officer spoke with complainant who stated someone has been littering in his yard.
Officer was dispatched to New St. in reference to an open window and possible squatter at the residence. C/p advised two TVs, medicine bottles and two Play Stations were missing, as well as multiple drawers open throughout the residence.
Officer observed a vehicle traveling 45 MPH in a 35 MPH zone and a non-working headlight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer discovered the registered owner to have an active arrest warrant out of Burke Co. Driver was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers was dispatched to Mike’s Food Mart in reference to a theft. Complainant stated he left his wallet on the counter and the clerk placed it behind the counter for safekeeping. Appx. 5 to 10 minutes later, a male subject approached the clerk, and she gave him the wallet. When c/p returned to retrieve the wallet, the clerk told him someone had collected it, claiming c/p sent him to get it. C/p denied authorizing anyone to collect his wallet.
Officer responded to Lakewood Dr. in reference to a welfare check. Complainant stated he had been unable to reach victim for multiple days and victim’s mailbox was full as if it had not been checked in a while. C/p provided officers with a key to the residence. Victim was found on the bathroom floor deceased.
February 19
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant returned a wallet that was found at the stop sign on Injunction Rd.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she bought a car, and she still hasn’t received her tag.
February 20
Officer transported individual to EmCo Jail for outstanding warrants through Johnson Co.
February 21
Officer responded to N. Main St. in reference to a wanted person with an arrest warrant. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail
