November 8
Officer was dispatched to East MLK in reference to a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officer made contact with c/p who stated that that morning she had gone outside of her house to crank her vehicle up. After doing this, she went back inside to father her belongings to leave. As she exited her home, she noticed that her vehicle was missing. She stated that her purse was also in the vehicle with all of her personal belongings, including her ID.
Officer was dispatched to Rentz Street. Upon arrival officer spoke with c/p who stated that while he was inside of his house, he heard the car alarm go off on a vehicle parked on the side of his house. He turned the alarm off and walked outside and discovered the rear driver window to be busted. He advised that the vehicle belonged to his cousin.
Officer was dispatched to Freedom Street in reference to an active dispute between two females that was escalating. Officers met with c/p and offender who were separated. The offender stated that c/p has been drinking and she began yelling and cursing at her and threatening to kick her out. C/p stated that she pays the bills and has been living there for 6 years. EMS was called due to c/p’s intoxication, but she refused treatment.
Officer responded to Williams Street in reference to someone stealing firewood. On arrival officer spoke with c/p and victim who stated that offender came onto their property and stole approximately $40 worth of firewood. Victim began to follow offender to make him return the firewood. Offender was arrested and drugs were found on his person as well.
November 9
Officer observed a vehicle with defective tag lights and conducted a traffic stop. Offender’s license turned out to be suspended. Offender was arrested.
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle who was failing to maintain lane and dark tint. When approaching the vehicle, officer could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. His license was found to be suspended and he was asked for consent to blow into an alcocensor. He was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license, tint, tinted tag cover, and failure to maintain lane.
November 10
Officer responded to Gumlog Rd in reference to a verbal dispute. Both parties stated that they had a verbal argument and some shoving took place. They were separated.
Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a report. Officer met with c/p who stated that she was leaving her residence and a vehicle was in her lane and would not move over. She stated that the offender rolled her window down, threatened her, and drove off. She made the report in case something happened in the future.
Offender was arrested for driving while unlicensed and DUI.
November 11
A vehicle was pulled over for a tint violation. Illegal substances were found and offenders were arrested for trafficking methamphetamine.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival officer met with c/p who had the shoplifter in custody. He stole items adding up to $34.40. Offender was identified with active warrants. He was arrested and charged with shoplifting less that $500.00.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a female who left money in the register, and then someone stole it. The victim stated that she checked out and selected $20 cash back, she forgot to grab it and upon her return back, it was gone.
Officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter wearing all black clothes and a Wendy’s employee shirt. He then returned to Wendy’s after the crime. Offender was found and arrested.
Two offenders were arrested for criminal trespassing and damage to property.
November 12
Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a driver with a suspended license for failure to appear. Offender was placed under arrest.
Officers responded to Kite Rd for someone showing out. Offender is at EMC and was outside smoking when he wasn’t supposed to be. Officers told him to stop and he got loud and began cursing at the officers. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to comply with officer.
November 13
Officers were dispatched to Mcleod Drive in reference to an active dispute that was escalating. Officers arrived on scene and separated the two offenders that had been threatening the victim. All parties were advised to settle the issue in magistrate court.
Officer responded to a walk in report at SPD. C/p stated that she and her husband went to Swainsboro Financial along with offender in reference to letting her buy a car from then, but loaned. C/p stated that offender had been making payments up until recently when she hadn’t been answering the phone. She also heard that she may have gotten the vehicle scrapped.
Officer responded to New Street in reference to damage to property. Officer spoke with c/p who stated that he was inside the residence asleep when he window was broken, apparently the offender threw a bowling ball through it.
November 14
Officers were dispatched to the area of Flanders Street and Lucky Street in reference to a man stealing some security cameras off a porch on Lucky Street. The offender was going door to door selling security cameras. He was arrested for theft by taking $1500.00 or less.
Officer was dispatched to Summit Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle. C/p stated that when she returned home from work that afternoon, her vehicle was missing.
November 15
Officer was positioned on North Main Street in reference to an investigation. Offender was transported to jail from court.
Offender was arrested for a warrant, DUI, and failure to stop at stop sign.
November 16
Officers were dispatched to Mcleod Bridge Road in reference to someone trying to get into c/p’s house. C/p stated that someone keeps trying to enter her back window.
Officers received a call in reference to a male urinating on the building of a business on Coleman Street. Officers arrived to find a man sitting on a picnic table out back. The owner of the business asked the man to leave and he refused. Officer arrived and he was asked to leave.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Lucky Street in reference to shots fired in the area. C/p stated that his grandson woke him up stating that he heard shots fired and that a bullet came through the window of the house. Officers observed a broken window.
Officer responded to Lewis Street for a dispute. Officer made contact with c/p who stated that the woman next door came to her back door yelling and threatening her. As officer and c/p were speaking, the offender drove up with a gun out the window. Offender believes that c/p had been stealing from her house.
