January 11
Officers were dispatched to EMC ER in reference to an irate patient that hit a nurse. After getting patient calmed down, officers spoke with the nurses. Nurses stated that this was the third incident with this patient where he has become physically aggressive with staff as well as other patients.
January 12
Officers were dispatched to S. Main in reference to a dispute between employee and customer. Complainant stated that offender went to her job making verbal threats.
January 13
Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a walk in report. Complainant stated while shopping at Walmart he left his wallet by accident. He returned to the service desk and his wallet was turned in, but the money was missing.
January 14
Officer was dispatched to SPD in response to walk in report. Upon meeting with the complainant, he stated he received a package from Midway USA and the package was delivered by UPS and the package was in perfect condition was not opened or tampered with. He stated that when he opened the box everything was in it except the rifle scope that he ordered.
January 15
While patrolling in the area of New Street, the officer observed the offender walking towards D&I Food Mart, officer made contact with the defendant and he was apprehended without incident for warrants through SPD, ECSO, and Richmond County.

Officer was dispatched to SPD in reference to a walk in report. Upon arriving, he made contact with the complainant who stated that earlier that day she discovered that an unknown offender had made two unauthorized transactions totaling $334 using her debt card.

Officer was dispatched to Herrington Ave in reference to an assault. Complainant was waiting on a Instacart delivery when defendant arrived with her father. The complainant exchanged words with the father, which upset the offender. The offender exited her white sedan and scratched the complainant on her right arm and above her right eye.

Officers were dispatched to Mason Dr in reference to a report of someone trying to enter vehicles. The complainant said the offender was wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The complainant said they heard a car door close, and they looked outside and saw some standing by the complainant’s car. The offender appeared to be a male that was average height and built. The complainant saw the offender cross the street to Youngblood St. and try to open door of a white car in the front yard of that residence. The complainants stated that there was nothing missing from the vehicles.
January 16
Officers were dispatched to EMC ER in reference to a nurse being assaulted by a patient. Upon arrival contact was made with nurse and she stated that she was trying to clean the offender when he closed fist punched her in the face. The offender was not cleared medically and was very heavily sedated. The complainant stated it just came out of nowhere.
January 16
Officer responded to Family Dollar in reference to theft by shoplifting. Complainant advised the alarm indicated merchandise was not paid for and she attempted to stop offender, and offender dropped a bottle of perfume and continued to walk out. C/p reviewed camera footage and observed offender place several items into her pockets.
Officer observed a vehicle with defective tag lights, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver was found to be driving on suspended license and transported to EmCo Jail.
January 17
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated he took his vehicle to offender to get it painted and paid him $1,500 and offender had it for six months and has not done any work it, so he went and picked it up.
Officer observed a vehicle with a blown-out taillight, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver was found to have suspended license and active warrants. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
January 19
Officers were dispatched to Grady St. in reference to a child being taken from his home by her father without the mother’s consent.
