February 1
Officer observed a suspicious vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign, at which time he attempted to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Officer topped the hill and observed the vehicle had run off the road into the ditch on N. Coleman St., resulting in major damage to the vehicle. Officer exited his patrol unit and observed a male walking up the embankment and made sure he was okay. Another male subject was observed in the ditch who advised he was okay but was intoxicated. It was advised that the owner/driver of the vehicle fled the scene. Both male subjects were evaluated by EMS.
Complainant stated he misplaced his social security card.
Officers were dispatched to Williams St. in reference to an intoxicated male fighting. Offender was placed under arrest and began cussing at officer and hollering at other people in the area. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Officers were dispatched to S. Main St. in reference to complainant’s ex-boyfriend following her. C/p stated offender was beating on her window and she is scared of him because he’s abusive.
Officer observed a vehicle cross the center line and fail to maintain its lane, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Drivers’ eyes were bloodshot and glassy and was asked to perform a PBT, which he failed. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
February 2
Officer responded to EMC ER in reference to a gunshot wound victim. Officer was informed that a male subject left walking and was found on Kite Rd. Officer approached the male subject who had blood on his shoes, and he stated he took the gunshot victim to the hospital. Male subject was detained for further investigation.
Officer responded to S. Main St. in reference to a worker bleeding out. Victim stated he used meth and had been drinking and was trying to kill himself. Victim was transported to EMC ER and was flown out.
February 3
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated her Snap benefits totaling $292 were stolen.
Officer assisted GSP with a traffic stop. Trooper advised he could smell alcoholic beverage coming from the driver’s person and began field sobriety. Offender was placed under arrest for DUI and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer responded to Old Nunez Rd. in reference to an abandoned vehicle with hazards on. Driver was putting gas in the vehicle and stated he knew the vehicle did not have any insurance because he just picked it up from being worked on and was taking it home. Vehicle was towed.
February 4
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated offender stole tools out of his vehicle.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated financed merchandise was pawned by offender. Officer went to the pawn shop and observed offender in there, and was informed that offender did in fact pawn the financed merchandise and just redeemed the items out of pawn. Offender advised officer that she was returning the items where they were financed. Officer received a call advising the items were returned.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated he had an altercation with a female that followed him inside a store. C/p advised he then started receiving threatening calls from offender.
Officer was dispatched go Old Nunez Rd. in reference to criminal trespass. Complainant stated her backyard had been rolled and her water spicket had been turned on.
Officers conducted a buy bust on Lewis St. Offender was observed receiving crack cocaine from the driver of the vehicle. Both offenders were detained, and several rocks of crack cocaine were found, in addition to marijuana and an unknown substance, and $1,679 in cash. Both offenders were transported to EmCo Jail.
February 5
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated he was being followed by offender and is being harassed and threatened.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she has a TPO on her ex-husband and he was sitting at the end of the dead-end road of her job’s driveway.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated offender is harassing her and her daughter.
Officer took a walk-in report where complainant stated she left her purse in a WalMart buggy and it was retrieved at the CS desk, but her wallet was missing.
Officer responded to Braswell Blvd. in reference to yelling and fighting. Officers could hear someone yelling. Complainant stated offender grabbed her by the neck and pushed her out the door and threw her purse and other items outside. Offender was placed under arrest for battery family violence and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer observed a vehicle with a non-working brake light, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Driver’s license is suspended so she was placed under arrest and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to W. MLK Blvd. in reference to a subject in medical distress. Officers had to break in to make entry and victim was found lying face down on the floor. Victim was breathing but unresponsive. EMS arrived and transported victim to EMC ER.
February 7
Officer observed a vehicle with a non-working brake light, at which time he initiated a traffic stop. Officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked for the driver’s license. A handgun was found in the vehicle and came back stolen out of Soperton.
Officer responded to W. Main St. in reference to a male subject with a warrant for his arrest. Offender was placed in custody and transported to EmCo Jail.
Officer was dispatched to Price St. in reference to a custody dispute. Complainant stated she was granted sole custody on her son and she let him go stay with his dad and offender did not drop him off at the daycare the following morning.
Officer took a report in reference to damage to a vehicle.
