The High School JROTC program teaches Cadets self-discipline, self-confidence and leadership skills needed to meet the challenges of adulthood. The Local American Legion recognized the following cadets with awards: Military Commitment Certificates – Kiara Moses, Cadet Celaya Mcleod and Cadet Mauriya Walden; JROTC Military Excellence Award – Cadet A’Kayla Tillman; and JROTC Scholastic Excellence Award – Cadet Mauriya Walden.
