Seedling Garden Club members Mrs. Paula Karrh (Master Gardener), Mary Pate Gay, Amber Albritton, and Nancy Lisenby visited Swainsboro Primary School on October 19. Kim Hooks, with Emanuel County Farm to School, set up the event to celebrate Georgia Organics’ October “Pepper Palooza” Month. The ladies guided Jessica English’s homeroom through a floral design project using bell peppers, flowers, herbs, and other greenery. The students picked the flowers from one of the many school gardens on the Swainsboro Primary School’s campus. It was an excellent way to celebrate Farm to School Month, Georgia Organics, and community involvement with our youngest students.
