Peggy was born April 29, 1938, in Trion, GA, to the late Albert Wesley “Tub” Dover and Vinnie Lucille Dover, but lived many years in Swainsboro. She was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church. Peggy was a devoted wife, loving mother, amazing grandmother, but most importantly, a child of God. She was blessed to be able to raise her children on a farm in Swainsboro. Peggy was a fantastic seamstress, staying busy making clothes for her children, family and community. She later entered the workforce and subsequently retired as a factory worker using her skills in sewing. Peggy enjoyed her church family, singing, knitting, puzzles, game shows, Sunday dinners with family, and a fierce game of kickball with the grandkids. In 2017, Peggy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s that resulted in her moving to At Home Senior Living of Cochran in March 2021. There, she was known as “Grandma” and “Granny” by everyone. Mrs. Boss is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Clint Boss; daughter, Janice Hudson; grandson, Greg Boss; brothers, Tommy, Roy “LaVaughn”, David and Marvin; sisters, Vinnie, Sadie, Brenda and Shirley.
Mrs. Boss is survived by her sons, Marcus Boss (Amy) of Swainsboro and Frank Boss (Debra) of Statesboro; grandchildren, Sharon Hudson, Mitchell Hudson (Karen), Shanna Dupree (Todd), David Boss, Daniel Fuller, Andrew Fuller, Tabatha Brewer (Seth), Johnathon Edge, David Olson, Brandon Olson (Kriston) and Brett Olson (Alana); 22 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Trish Willis (Robert) of Twin City; many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire At Home Senior Living team who became extended family and provided loving care to “Grandma.”
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Gideons International, P.O. Box 365, Swainsboro, GA 30401 in memory of Peggy Boss.
