Peggy Ann Ware, 77, of Swainsboro, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at Candler County Hospital in Metter. Graveside service was held Thursday, December 5, at 11 a.m. in the Ware Cemetery in Dudley with Reverend Leon Guest officiating. Family received friends Wednesday, December 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home.
Peggy was born in Summerville, Georgia, to the late Luther Leroy Headrick and Mary Elizabeth Hunter Headrick. Ms. Ware is preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd Ware.
Survivors include her son, John Ware; daughter, Susan Dekle (Robert); sisters, Valerie Hall (Scotty) and Rosie Amerson; brothers, Charles Headrick, Leonard Headrick and Michael Headrick; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Tomlinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
