He was released on bond.
On April 9, Thomas was once again arrested. Swainsboro Police Department made a traffic stop and found crack cocaine in the vehicle. Narcotics Investigator Dakota Lamb with the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Department was called in to help with the investigation. The driver of the vehicle told officers he had purchased the drugs from Thomas. A search warrant was issued on a Harris Street address, where Thomas resides. Investigators recovered 108 grams of crack cocaine and a firearm. Thomas was charged with trafficking crack cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule 2 controlled substance with intent to distribute, 2 counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, 3 counts pos-session of dangerous drugs and possession of drug related objects.
“We can’t get all the drugs off the street but we are making every effort. It’s not easy – the drug dealers try to stay one step ahead but we capitalize on their mistakes,” stated Investiga-tor Lamb.
