November 3 proclaimed Georgia Retired Educators Day

Governor Brian Kemp has issued a state proclamation declaring Sunday, November 3, as Retired Educators Day in Georgia. Members of the Emanuel Retired Educators Association recently accepted a similar proclamation signed by Swainsboro Mayor Greg Bennett. The annual celebration not only thanks former educators, but it also brings awareness to the work still being done by so many. Members of the local association remain steadfast in their interest in and efforts to promote and support education, as well as the welfare of children in Emanuel County.
