Patrick H. Mills, resident of Sylvania and originally from Twin City, was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant with the Georgia Air National Guard in a ceremony at the 165th Airlift Wing, February 1, 2025. Chief Master Sergeant Patrick H. Mills serves as Superintendent in the Maintenance Operations Flight of the 165th Airlift Wing, Savannah. The Maintenance Operations Flight is the central agency for monitoring and developing long range strategies of fleet management to sustain the health of the fleet and ensure the effective utilization of available resources to accomplish the aircraft support cycle from planned maintenance events to operations schedule execution. CMSgt Mills provides guidance, planning, and coordination of maintenance operations activities and is directly responsible for the administration, analysis, and training management of the group’s assigned personnel, as well as the programs and resources necessary to support the group’s production effort.
CMSgt Patrick H. Mills enlisted in the Ga ANG in July 1995 and was assigned to the 165th Maintenance Squadron as an Electronic Warfare Specialist working on the C-130H, eventually rising to section NCOIC. In September 2005, CMSgt Mills was reassigned to the 165th Maintenance Operations Flight where he served as the Analyst and Resource Advisor. In April of 2013 CMSgt Mills was assigned to the Plans and Scheduling section where he served as the NCOIC and Wing Aerospace Vehicle Distribution Officer. CMSgt Mills has participated in deployments such as Operations Joint Forge, Joint Endeavor, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve, as well as deployments to Poland, Japan and Curaçao.
