Mayor Donaldson visits ECI

On March 21, Matt Donaldson, the Mayor of Twin City, visited Ms. Carlyle’s 8th Grade Georgia Studies class. He provided firsthand insight into the “insider’s view” of city government operations. Mayor Donaldson began by laying out the fundamental principles of the city government to the students. By describing all the parts of what goes into day-to-day operations, students could get a foothold on what his role of ‘Mayor’ really meant. He then encouraged students to ask questions pertaining to the functions of city government. Mayor Donaldson provided students with an entirely different look at city government. Students now know what city government is and feel as if they are a part of it.
