Mason Williams Smith, Sr. receives Military Service Veterans Corps Certificate

The Wiregrass Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution Registrar Dess Smith III had the pleasure of awarding his brother Mason Williams Smith, Sr. the National Society’s Sons of the American Revolution Military Service Veterans Corps Certificate on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. Mason has been honored with this certificate of Patriotism for standing ready to defend the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic. As a Veteran, he is authorized by the SAR to wear the Military Service Medal in grateful recognition for his service to country in the defense of America. Mason served during the Vietnam War era in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army reserve. Mason is a graduate of Swainsboro High School in 1967 and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He is a Physician’s Assistant and works for Swainsboro Internal Medicine. Mason and his wife Donna live in Dublin, and they have two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren.
