The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro held its weekly meeting Tuesday night, December 17, at the Rustic Grille at 6:30 p.m. With President Paul Cerpovicz presiding, they had 15 in attendance including three guests, Joelle Romanchik-Cerpovicz, Karolina Cerpovicz and Carolyn Canady. Jeff Palmer won the Christmas cake and Tim Goodman won the Domino’s Pizza donated by Domino’s. Dess Smith carried out the drawing for the shotgun drawing and the winner was Jim Clapham. The club sold a little less than 600 tickets with Mary Ellen Smith selling the most.
Red-dot chair…attendees were asked to look underneath their chairs for a red dot, which resulted in winning a poinsettia. Winners were Tim Goodman, David Gribbin, Edwin Canady, Jeff Palmer and Karolina Cerpovicz.
White Elephant Gift Exchange…attendees took gently used gifts for the drawing. Tim Goodman’s number was drawn first, and he chose first, followed by all those in attendance as their numbers were called. Extra white elephant gifts were won by Tim Goodman, Carolyn Canady, Jim Clapham, Cheryl Goodman and Dianna Wedincamp.
The bulletin was delayed until December 18 because they distributed 43 Christmas bikes to selected Pre-K kids and their siblings on Wednesday, December 18, at the Swainsboro Early Learning Center/Pre-K. A special thanks to the seven Kiwanians and Santa Claus who helped with the project.
