Mrs. Jimmie Sue Walker, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023. A Celebration of Life and Legacy was held Saturday, December 16, at 12 p.m. at Mosley’s Funeral Home with Elder Delmus G. Mosley officiating.
Mrs. Jimmie Sue was born March 1, 1943, in Soperton, to the late Robert E. and Georgiana Latimore. She was married to Johnnie Lee Walker for more than 52 years. Mrs. Jimmie worked as a security guard for 25 years and as a medical assistant for 10 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a great cook. Mrs. Jimmie loved her roses and vegetable garden and loved to fish and travel. Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and children, Janice Phillips and Charlie Phillips.
Mrs. Walker leaves to cherish her memories with her children, Jacqueline Gerald of Jacksonville, FL, Wanda Phillips of Miami, FL; Joann Phillips of Orlando, FL, Patrick Phillips of Macon and Dawn Joseph of New Jersey; 23 grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; and a host of other relative and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
