Last year, Emanuel County welcomed them on March 18, and they left us on October 10. Get your feeders hung and follow these simple steps to make their food: Combine ¼ cup of refined white sugar in one cup of hot water. (It’s a good idea to boil the water first. This kills any fungi or bacteria in the water to start off, making it as safe as possible for your hummer visitors.)
