Minister Herbert Moorman, age 58, transitioned Monday, December 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m. at the Swainsboro City Auditorium with Pastor Dr. Karen Jones officiating and Prophetess Quantiana Lovette presiding.
Herbert was bo rn September 26, 1965, to Jacqueline Worthen and the late Elder Eddie Worthen. He is a graduate of Swainsboro High School, class of 1984. Herbert enlisted in the Navy where he served and retired after 20 years. After retirement, he worked at Emanuel Youth Detention Center in Twin City and later worked at Plant Hatch in Baxley, then transferred to Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro where he worked for his final 13-1/2 years.
Minister Moorman leaves to cherish his memories with his wife of 35 years, Tonya Ko-Kim Moorman of Swainsboro; sons, Hernandez Moorman of Swainsboro and Demetrius (Bianca) Moorman Sr. of Utica, NY; daughter, Myricka (Charles) Butler of Columbus, OH; special daughter, Nellie Moorman of Portsmouth, VA; six grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; six aunts; two goddaughters; two bonus brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
