Most Americans have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner of turkey or ham and the fixings. However, Grayson, age 6, and Roselyn, age 5, have their own ideas on Thanksgiving dinner this year. Their main entrée will be chicken nuggets. No matter what you have, Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude and reflection on our blessings. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln declared the last Thursday in November would be a day of thanks for the whole country.
Grayson and Roselyn are the children on Hunter and Tonya Hooks of Nunez. They attend David Emanuel Academy.
The Forest-Blade will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
