It is with great joy and excitement that Swainsboro Police Department announces its Annual Scavenger Hunt program! Swainsboro Police Department will host its annual summer Scavenger Hunt for the community beginning June 1 at 4:30 p.m.
Each year SPD hosts a “find a rock” Scavenger Hunt program for children 5-12 years of age. The program will be held the entire month of June. During the month of June each officer will hide a painted rock with his or her badge number inscribed. Clues will be posted through the Swainsboro Police Department Facebook page. Each officer will give up to three clues for the public to decipher and hopefully locate the rock to turn in for a prize. This year the agency will give a new clue every day to help find all the hidden treasures. The police department staff is extremely excited about the upcoming event for the children to enjoy participating in during the month of June. A prize will be given for every found treasure and a grand prize provided by Vyve Broadband will be selected at the end of the month. The following restrictions apply: ages 5-12 and one winner per child.
“This program has been a huge success during the last few years and it’s hard to tell who enjoys it the most, the officers, the children or the community,” Said Chief Randy Ellison.
HAPPY HUNTING!!!!!
