Mrs. Mary Frances Lindsey, 78, of Kite, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services were held Friday, February 7, at 3 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Lowery officiating, assisted by Reverend Arthur Conley. Interment followed at the Kite City Cemetery. Family received friends Thursday, February 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Justin Lindsey, Chad Dalton, Ricky Dalton, Perry Rogers, Chad Wombles and Vince Coleman. Honorary pallbearers were the Kite graduating class of 1964.
Frances was born January 31, 1947, in Kite, to the late Milton Russell Sheppard and Maggie Ruth Price Sheppard. She enjoyed taking care of her children; her son, nieces and nephews, then her grandchildren when they came along. Frances had a very nurturing side to her, always looking out and caring for others. She was a dedicated Christian, and she loved her church and church family. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family. She retired as the regional manager for BB&T after thirty plus years of working in the banking industry. Mrs. Lindsey is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Helen Ruth Dalton.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward E. Lindsey; son, Brian Edward Lindsey (Tanya) of Kite; grandchildren, Marli Eve Nabus of Dublin, Maci Rae Nabus and Kingston Drake Lindsey, both of Kite; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
