Eva M. Pierce Waiters, age 80, departed this earthly life on Sunday, February 18, 2024. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, February 24, at 12 p.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Pierce officiating and Rev. Cedric Carswell and Rev. Vinson Miller presiding.
Eva was born October 26, 1943, in Emanuel County, to the late Jim Aaron Pierce and Florene Kitchens. Eva married the late Eugene Bobby “Bobby Q” Waiters. She retired from South Carolina State Crafts-Farrow Mental Health Hospital and Richard’s Dry Cleaners in Columbia, SC. Eva also owned Visually Impaired People, Inc., helping people with visual disabilities. She was a member of Lonesome Doom, Inc. which acknowledges educators or teachers in Emanuel County. Mrs. Waiters is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Aaron Pierce, Ernest Pierce and Joyce Carter.
Mrs. Waiters leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter, Cheryl Ann Pierce Carswell (Robert Earl); grandchildren, Letriece Tremaine Pierce, Ciara Shad’e Pierce, Kushai Samone Mclemore and Noah Robert Earlkari Pierce; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Robert Carter (Mary); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
