Coleman, 45, married with seven kids of Swainsboro, has worked at Southern Eagle Distributing for 14 years and has transitioned to Frito-Lay the past year. He is a graduate of Swainsboro High School. Beyond his professional endeavors, his passion for community involvement has led him to actively serving our county’s recreation department for 10 years. There he has served as a coach, a referee, a mentor, and has also received the title of ‘Coach of the Year’. He has also been involved in Community Action for Youth. These experiences have allowed him to connect with diverse groups of residents and understand some of the needs of our community.
He has been a resident of District 1 for over 25 years. Over the last six months, Coleman has dedicated his time to attend County Commissioner meetings to make himself more aware of the issues faced in the county and understand how decisions are made as a County Commissioner. With a background deeply rooted in community service and a commitment to enable positive change, Coleman is eager to contribute to the new ventures and unfinished business in District 1.
Coleman believes in transparent and accountable governance, where the voices of every resident should be heard and valued.
Coleman invites you to join him on this journey toward a better District 1. “I bring a willingness to work with the city and county government. Let’s work together to build a future that we can all be proud of. “I am eager to engage with you, listen to your concerns, and collaboratively shape the path forward. Together we can create a district and county that thrives economically, socially, and environmentally,” Coleman said.
