Congratulations to the local graduates from the Georgia Trauma Commission State Funded Emergency Medical Technician course. The 2024 Emanuel County Emergency Medical Technician course is made possible by the Georgia Trauma Commission through a grant process. The grant is applied for each year to allow Emanuel County Emergency Medical Services and Emanuel Medical Center the opportunity to offer this course free of charge to the student and to the taxpayers of Emanuel County. This grant was developed to help bring prehospital emergency care to the rural areas. The course is six months long and clinicals are required. The total instruction time is 180 hours.
