Eddie Lee Drisdom, age 89, slipped away peacefully on Thursday, Dec ember 19, 2024, at Oxley Park Health & Rehab in Lyons. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, December 21, at 12 p.m. at St. Philip Baptist Church with Rev. Belvin Ware, Sr. officiating.
Eddie was born August 11, 1935, in Blun, to the late Madella Drisdom and Charlie Scott. He served in the US Army for seven years as a Military Policeman in the USA and abroad in Korea and Germany. Eddie worked at Warner Robins AFB as an Automotive Instructor for 30 years and retired in 1990 at the age of 55. He enjoyed traveling, sports and planting and growing vegetables and fruits. Mr. Drisdom is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Thelma White Drisdom; brother, Benjamin Franklin Scott; special first cousin, Bonnie Norwood; and his fur baby, Mindy.
Mr. Drisdom leaves to mourn his passing with his daughters, Evangelist Sandra Dionne Drisdom Dawson (Deacon Johnny Lee) of Swainsboro and Lashonda Moore Evans of Macon; sons, Eldridge (Angela) White of Augusta and Richard “Ricky” White of Tallahassee, FL; two siblings; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mosley’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
