January 26
Deputy responded to Ivey Hall Rd. where complainant stated he parked his truck in the edge of a field and returned the following morning to find the truck’s four batteries totaling around $1,000 and a copper grounding cable estimated at $100 missing. Five nuts that se-cured the cables to the battery posts were also missing. C/p advised a white passenger van was spotted leaving the area prior to his arrival.
January 27
Deputies responded to Twin City in reference to a male subject calling 911 stating he had been peppered sprayed. Upon further investigation, the male subject was found to be intoxi-cated and had gotten into a dispute with family members about turning the power off to the house during which time he got sprayed. Subject was picked up and relocated to his moth-er’s house in Swainsboro.
Victim stated he let his bulldog in the house and was drying him off and it attacked him. Animal Control was called and removed the dog. Victim was transported to EMC ER by EMS.
Deputy responded to Interfor in reference to threats being made towards complainant. C/p stated he has an active stalking order against offender and offender violated it by going within 200 yards of c/p while they were both getting their logs loaded.
Deputy met with complainant who stated his caretaker has been taking his medications. C/p advised his caretaker has lived with him for several years and he is dependent on her for his needs.
January 28
Deputy met with complainant on Falcon Trl. In reference to criminal trespass. C/p stated he discovered that an unknown male subject entered his residence through the back door and exited through the front door.
January 30
Deputies were dispatched to Payton Rd. in reference to a burglary. Complainant stated she was last at the residence appx. 3 weeks ago and left it secure. C/p advised she returned to find the front door opened and the door appeared to have been pried open, and property was missing. C/p believes her next-door neighbor is the possible suspect.
Deputy met with victim who stated he met a female online and has been communicating with her for appx. two years and she asked him if he could send her some money. Female subject stated she is in the military on deployment and would be returning soon. Victim sent $5,800 and was contacted by his bank seven days later advising his account was frozen due to unauthorized money transfers. Victim stated a week later, money was removed from his account by the account he sent $5,800 to.
January 31
Victim stated he heard noises on his back porch and went outside to see a male subject walk-ing away. Victim stated he chased after offender, then quit chasing him. Offender piled some copper tubing, metal, glass, boards and aluminum trailer hitch cargo carrier.
February 1
Deputy responded to Jet Food Store in reference to a male subject threatening employee. Complainant stated offender became irate with c/p due to a malfunction with a poker ma-chine offender was playing on and told c/p he would go to his house and get his gun and shoot the store up if they did not pay him his money. During the investigation, offender was found to be wanted for a probation violation out of Montgomery County.
Deputies responded to 5th Ave. in reference to caller stating she was afraid of her husband who was waiting on her at home. An altercation had taken place the night prior. C/p had two active probation warrants through Appling County and Hancock County. C/p was transported to EmCo Jail. While enroute, c/p advised his wife jumped on him the night prior and struck him with a wrench.
Victim stated an unknown offender cut the hatch off a lock box that he uses for people to put money in to go fishing in his pond. Offender was observed on c/p’s security camera.
Deputies were dispatched to Mathis Ave. in reference to a female being at the residence threatening to set the house on fire. Complainant was visibly upset and almost hyperventi-lating. C/p advised offender sent her text messages and while deputy was looking at them, offender sent six or seven texts.
Deputies were dispatched to Wilson Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Offender was attempting to force his way into the residence and pointed a gun at people through the win-dow. Offender was given verbal commands to show both hands and failed to comply. Upon further negotiation and the help of a family member, deputies were able to convince suspect to give up. Offender was arrested and transported to EmCo Jail.
February 2
Victim stated she and offender got into a physical altercation and offender threw c/p to the ground. C/p advised offender had active warrants out of Hancock County and Appling County and both wanted a hold placed. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail.
Deputy recovered a zero-turn mower positioned in the wood line from Kemp Rd. It was con-firmed that it was reported stolen out of Polk County.
Deputies responded in reference to a stolen vehicle. Complainant stated the truck belonging to his stepfather had been stolen out of his yard. C/p was informed that the location of his truck was known due to it being involved in a vehicle chase in Montgomery County earlier in the day.
February 3
Deputies responded to 4th St. in Stillmore in reference to a domestic dispute. Complainant stated she contacted offender to collect his belongings from the residence and that she had set outside. C/p advised when offender showed up, he was beating a mop on the front door and when c/p went to see what was going on, offender rushed into the residence and grabbed c/p by the throat and held her up in the air.
