February 1

Complainant stated her son and offender got into a fight at SMS and both children were suspended with equal treatment. C/p further stated since the fight, her son has received threatening messages from offender via SnapChat. Victim has since blocked offender on social media, but c/p wanted a report in case there are any further incidents.

February 3

Complainant stated an unknown offender used her personal information to open two lines of credit in c/p’s name. C/p needed a report for the credit bureau in order to have them taken off her credit report.

Complainant reported offender keeps harassing her and hacking her cameras at her house. C/p stated she knows offender from when she lived in CA.

February 4

Complainant stated she was traveling on Hwy 56 N. when scrap metal came off a trailer and struck her vehicle.

February 5

Deputies responded to Hwy 15 N. in reference to a semi-truck side-swiping a vehicle.

Complainant stated someone cut the power to his work lights in an attempt to cause c/p to get shocked. C/p advised he has an idea who offender is but did not want to pursue charges.

Deputies responded to Willard Wilks Rd. in reference to someone throwing trash and trespassing onto complainant’s property. C/p stated a car follows the hurricane clean-up crew and was taking trash out of his vehicle and throwing it onto his property.

February 6

Deputies responded to Canady Bridge Rd. in reference to someone breaking into complainant’s home.

February 7

Complainant stated offender was served with a TPO the previous night and offender has been trying to contact her via Facebook.

Deputies were dispatched to McCorkle Ln. in reference to offender harassing complainant. C/p stated offender has been riding by her residence and calling and threatening her.

Deputies responded to Hwy 1 S. in reference to a car fire.

Deputies responded to Hwy 192 S. in reference to a possible home invasion domestic dispute. Victim was out by the hwy with blood on his shirt and appeared to have been in an altercation. C/p stated offender broke into his house and attacked both victims and offender beat one victim with a bar and strangled the other victim. Offender dove through a window to gain entry and escaped out the back door before deputies arrived. Offender was apprehended and taken into custody.

February 8

Deputies were dispatched to Cowford Bridge Rd. in reference to a dog bite. EMS was leaving and advised deputies they were transporting victim due to the extent of his injuries. Deputy made contact with the owner of the dog who stated victim was aggravating the dog and playing around with him and when victim raised his hands over the dog’s head, the dog felt threatened and bit victim. Deputy went to EMC ER and the nursing staff informed him that the victim was intoxicated and did not speak English.

Deputies responded to Mills St. in reference to an individual being shot. Deputy was advised that offender entered into the residence unwanted an began shooting. Victim stated he confronted offender in the yard at which point offender began to be argumentative. Offender then forced into the residence and began firing the handgun.

February 9

Complainant stated $506.18 was taken off his D-Snap card.

Deputies were contacted in reference to a possible stolen firearm. Complainant stated he informed offender he was going to check the firearm and run it at which point offender began to beg c/p not to. Firearm was found to be stolen and wanted by Vidalia PD.

February 10

Deputies were dispatched to Atkinson Dr. in reference to stolen property. Homeowner advised he found his vehicle’s center console open and a smith and Wesson 38 cal., valuable coins and $2 bills missing.
