East Georgia State College (EGSC) will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a special celebration for the community entitled “The Journey” on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Luck Gambrell Building Auditorium. This event will bring together students, faculty, staff, and the local community to reflect on Dr. King’s transformative impact on civil rights and social justice.

“The Journey” will be a powerful theatrical experience honoring the life, legacy, and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King’s work continues to inspire and motivate individuals committed to creating a more inclusive society, and this celebration aims to reflect on those strides, while also acknowledging the challenges that persist.

The evening will include powerful performances by both EGSC students and local community members. A special highlight of the event will be a performance by the MLK Commemoration Choir.

The celebration is free and open to the public. All are invited to join in this important occasion, share in a moment of reflection, and take part in the collective journey towards justice.
