The Emanuel Arts Council will host the third annual Block Party for the Arts on Thursday, April 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. The 100 block of North Green Street will be closed to traffic during those hours. The event will feature art by Swainsboro High School, Emanuel County Institute and East Georgia State College.
Artwork by the students will be judged by three local judges. Prizes will be awarded to winners from each school. A Sidewalk Chalk Contest will also be held in front of The Kalmanson Gallery and the Karrh Community Arts Center. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
