On January 12, David Emanuel Academy Eagles varsity basketball teams played against Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars. The Lady Eagles started the night in a hard-fought game against the Jags. Despite their effort, the Eagles ended in a loss with a final score of 47-33. Emma Proctor led the team with 19 points, followed by Aubrey Williams with 5 points, Kylie Bell and Addalyn Terwilliger each with 4 points, and Payton Peebles with 1 point. Following the girls’ game, the varsity boys took the court. In an intense and tight-score game, the Eagles unfortunately ended with a one-point loss in a final score of 39-38. Leading the team with points was Billy Martin with 14 points, followed by Randon Williams with 11 points, Peton Lee with 6 points, Tony Sutton with 3 points, and Richard Braddy and Ethan Fields each with 2 points.
