Daughtry speaks to the Wiregrass Chapter

The Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting Thursday night, May 9, at McKinney Pond at 6:30 p.m. With President Steve Burke presiding, they had 25 in attendance. President Burke talked about several of the events that the Chapter has participated in the past month and what events were coming up in May. President Steve then asked Registrar Dess Smith III to introduce our speaker for the evening. Registrar Dess introduced SAR member Hu Daughtry. Hu is a member of the Mill Creek Chapter in Statesboro and he and his wife Susan live in Metter. Hu’s presentation was on “Irish American Patriots, in his Family Tree”.
