The Georgia Department of Transportation is asking for comments from the public concern-ing the proposal of a “traffic roundabout” at the intersection of Kite Road and the Highway 1 Bypass. The deadline for submitting feedback is February 5, 2025.
The proposed four-million-dollar project can be viewed and fully explained online by going to the G.D.O.T. website and entering Swainsboro roundabout project ID# 0019664. The pro-ject is proposed as a result of numerous traffic accidents at that intersection in recent years.
