Burke speaks to the Wiregrass Chapter

The Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting on Thursday night, June 13, at McKinney Pond’s Restaurant in Midville. With Presi-dent Steve Burke presiding, they had 25 in attendance. President Steve called on Chaplain Emory Fennell to give the invocation, led the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Pledge to the Sons of the American Revolution. President Steve discussed what the Chapter had been in-volved in the past 30 days and also the upcoming events. He then presented his program on “Life on the Frontier, 1700’s”. Part of his presentation was on life here in Emanuel County after the American Revolution.
