Burke speaks to Four Rivers

The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held their monthly meeting, Thursday night, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons. With President Steve DeWeil presiding, they had 14 in attendance. President Steve called on the East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith III to present the Chapter with three Chapter Flag Streamers. They were the Frederica, Patriots Day Naval Battle Anniversary Streamer for the Chapter presenting a wreath at the event. Second was the Georgia Society Distinguished Chapter Award Streamer for 2023. Third was the Georgia Society Membership Award Streamer for a above 90% renewal for 2024. President Steve then introduced the speaker for the evening, Wiregrass Chapter of Swainsboro President Steve Burke. Burke’s presentation was on the Revolutionary War Battle of Trenton.
