Two members of the Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution traveled to Statesboro to present their “Travelin’ Trunk” program to 175 Students of six different classes at William James Middle School on Friday, September 13. Travelin’ Trunk programs are presented by Sons of the American Revolution members all over the world to educate school children on how it was to live during the 1700’s/1800’s and fight for our independence. The Travelin’ Trunk presentation was requested and sponsored by Beth Lamb, eighth grade Georgia History teacher. Beth is the daughter of Bill and Linda Carmichael of Swainsboro.
