Ms. Kay, born Brenda Kay Tripp, was raised in Eastman by her late parents, Uley Tripp and Opal Howell Tripp-Rhodes. She loved traveling and seeing what the world could offer. At an early age, Kay became a mother to James, Jimmy and Cindy, whom throughout their differences she loved. Although she loved her children, she loved her grandchildren more. Kay was known for her spitfire personality and never back down attitude. She was a determined woman and never met an obstacle she couldn’t overcome. Sadly, after battling an extended illness, Kay passed away leaving behind her husband, Ray Tanner of Twin City; three children, James Anderson (Stacey) of Alma, Jimmy Anderson and Cindy Jones (Jeremy), both of Twin City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
