BOE holds monthly meeting

The Emanuel County Board of Education met on Tuesday, July 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Office with the following members in attendance: Brandon Jones, Cherie Hooks, Del Brown, and John Allen Bailey. Tanya Lane was not in attendance. Board Chair Del Brown welcomed everyone calling the meeting to order. Superintendent Dr. Denise B. Warnock and Board Chair Del Brown facilitated the election of a new Board Vice-Chair to replace Johnny Parker. Mr. John Allen Bailey was elected as Board Vice-Chair for the remainder of the vacated term. Brandon Jones delivered the invocation followed by John Allen Bailey leading the Pledge of Allegiance. John Allen Bailey made a motion to approve the agenda. Cherie Hooks seconded the motion. Del Brown, Cherie Hooks, Brandon Jones, and John Allen Bailey voted “yes”. CARRIED.
