Ms. Betty Carol Farrow, 69, of Wrightsville passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah. She was born December 21, 1954, in Swainsboro to the late Freeman Farrow and Sarah Johnson Farrow. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nita Daughtry and Reba Bennett; brothers, Wendell Farrow and Donny Farrow.
Betty was a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She attended Summertown Elementary School and over the years attended rehabilitation and therapeutic schools, including Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute to learn independent skills. Through the years, she was able to be a caregiver of family members because of her caring and empathetic disposition. She loved laughing with her family and she always looked forward to family gatherings and visits. Betty had a lot of friends who loved her and she felt the love in return. Some of her favorite things were classic country music, dancing, a good joke, taking pictures with her camera, hot coffee, and fruitcake (her mother’s recipe). She has passed from us to be with many loved ones she dearly missed.
She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Farrow of Wrightsville; sister, Annette Rogers of Wrightsville; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Butch Taylor officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Ron Farrow, Chris Farrow, Wendy Farrow, Butch Taylor, and David Hall.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of the arrangements.
