Mrs. Ann Conley, 81, of Swainsboro, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Don Carroll and Pastor Mike Ogden officiating. Interment will follow in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family received friends on Tuesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Gant Conley, Ryan Pepin, Brad Pepin, Shane Henry, Billy Padgett, Seth Cox and Gabe Conley.
Ann was born September 2, 1943, in Swainsboro, to C.L. Rogers and Emily Kersey Rogers. She was a true example of a Proverbs 31 wife who loved Jesus and her family, loved singing and was a song leader for over 40 years. Ann worked at Keller Ladders and Southern Laundry. She loved her pet rabbit, Daniel, and she loved flowers. Ann was well known for her radiate smile. She always saw the good in others and showed love and kindness. Ann would always say “you don’t know what that person is going through” and “be the first one to forgive”. She brought so much joy to her family and friends. Mrs. Conley is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Levone Rogers and Peggy Lou Rogers; brother, Roy Rogers.
Mrs. Conley is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arthur Conley of Swainsboro; daughter, Vickie Ogden (Mike) of Garfield; son, Ricky Conley (Brenda) of Oak Park; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
