Emanuel County Farm Bureau recently awarded cash prizes to winners in the Middle School Bookmark contest. Students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades were given a blank bookmark page and asked to draw a picture that depicts some aspect of Georgia agriculture, as well answer a question on the page.
The contest is to stimulate the interest of students in agriculture, to help them understand the importance of agriculture in our society and to share the talent of our students.
Dana Nasworthy, ECFB Women’s Committee member, presented checks to Ayden Bishop, SMS student for 1st place and Tamela Daniels, SMS student, 2nd place. Not pictured is Samuel Durden, 3rd place winner from DEA.
