April 7
Deputy took a walk-in report where complainant stated she never received her FEMA check for $2,164 and called the Dept. of Treasury and was advised that it was mailed in December was cashed and sent c/p a copy and receipt of where the check was cashed at WalMart #3070. C/p needed a report stating she did not cash the check.
Deputy responded to Wanda Ln. in reference to a dog attacking complainant’s dog. C/p stated her little pug sustained significant cuts to the eye and nose and was bleeding heavily. AC1 was called but the dogs took off running and deputies followed them to Community Ave. and spoke with the dogs’ owner. Deputy informed him of what happened and explained that a report was being done, and it would be up to c/p if she wanted to take it to court for the injuries inflicted on her dog.
Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 56 South in reference to a vehicle striking a tree that had fallen in the roadway.
April 8
Deputies responded to W. College St. in reference to three dogs attacking caller’s dogs. Complainant stated three large dogs attacked her dog on its runner in the back yard causing a large laceration to its neck and several puncture wounds to its front leg.
April 9
Complainant stated his tag was missing.
Complainant stated the tag office sent her tag in the mail and she never received it.
April 10
Deputy executed an arrest warrant on Popular St. in Adrian that was sent from Houston County SO. Offender was transported to EmCo Jail to be picked up from Houston Co. the following day.
Deputy was dispatched to Durden Bank in reference to fraudulent activities. Complainant stated an unknown male subject was calling her and stating he was a Federal Agent with the Trade Commission, and he had access to her computer, and it was hacked from several different porn sites, and she had to pay $20,000. Offender told c/p not to tell anyone and had her drive to the bank and told her not to get off the phone. C/p advised witness at the bank what was going on and witness asked to speak with offender, but he would not answer any of her questions and kept asking to speak back with c/p. C/p stated offender has access to her computer and was sending pictures of himself to her, as well as manipulating her computer.
Deputy was approached by a Swainsboro City Firefighter in reference to a vehicle that was blocking both fire bay lanes at the Moring St. Fire Station. Deputy made contact with the owner who advised Daniels Chevrolet was supposed to tow the vehicle and was not aware that it had not been removed. Deputy had 911 request Daniels Chevrolet go get the vehicle.
April 11
Deputy made contact with complainant in reference to a civil matter. C/p stated offender was to return a cell phone to her and failed to do so. While speaking with c/p, she was notified that the other party was dripping the phone off at the county jail. The incident stems from a previous incident in Toombs County earlier in the day.
April 12
Deputy responded to Plantation Dr. in reference to a dog complaint. Complainant stated the neighbor’s pit bull tried to attack his dog and he fired a shot at the dog but missed. Deputy advised the owner to keep his dog on a leash or he could be issued a citation.
Deputies were dispatched to Payton Rd. in reference to teenagers with guns trying to fuss with callers’ granddaughter. While enroute, deputies were given the license plate number of the vehicle due to offenders leaving. Deputy made contact with the vehicle and parties at the residence. Complainant stated offender had once again put his hands on her niece/victim and they ended up fighting. Offender then went and got some of his friends and returned to the residence with a gun.
April 13
Deputies were dispatched to Brinson Cemetery Rd. in reference to a home structure fire.
Deputies responded to McCorkle Ln. in reference to complainant stating her ex-boyfriend and his cousin kept calling and threatening her. C/p stated offender said he was going to shoot up her house and kill their unborn child. C/p stated offender’s cousin threatened to beat her up and stated she works for the county, so they won’t’ do anything to her. Witness stays on McCorkle Ln. and heard the threats being made and was concerned for her and her child’s safety because offenders threatened to go to their house. Deputy explained the TPO process and gave her a Refuge Center card due to this being an ongoing situation between c/p and offender.
