The Wiregrass Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting at McKinney Pond Restaurant in Midville February 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. With President Steve Burke presiding, there were 17 in attendance including guests. President Steve opened the meeting with a welcome and Chaplain Emory Fennell offered a prayer and then led us in the Pledge to the U.S. Flag and the Pledge to the SAR. The group then enjoyed a great buffet meal of shrimp, corn dodgers, French fries and all the trimmings. President Steve then called on Dess Smith to introduce the speaker, Mike Lisenby. Mike spoke about Colonial Revolutionary and Constitutional Periods of America. The next meeting will be March 13, at McKinney Pond at 6:30 p.m.
